Blending materials and contrasting color. Brown marble and soft white ceramic tile.

Using the Glass mosaic on the bottom row and finishing with the random stone diamonds above gives a good balance.

This is a steam shower with a barrel ceiling to drain the water properly. A mixture of Calacatta slab for bench and curb surfaces with the walls decorated in ceramic and stone mosaic.

This fireplace was created from Heath tile of different sizes and slight shade variations to give an overall texture to the wall.

This tub was framed with wood and wrapped with marine plywood. It was waterproofed, floated and shaped with mortar, then waterproofed a second time. The small glass mosaic was set direct to the surface considering full tile at all bisecting planes or wherever possible.

This design was drawn, but the math and sizes were not figured out. We had to improvise onsite based on the length and width of the space. this would later determine the size and shape of the tile cut down from larger stone tiles.

The small fiery red glass mosaic was wrapped around this contemporary fireplace to achieve a sculptural art piece in the center of the room.

This was a city parks project and was designed by a ceramics artist. The kite shapes continue with a consistent pattern and color dancing vertically up the wall.

The mixture of larger stone tiles integrated with mosaic stone transferring through the joints. finished with the mosaic stone to create a border around the room.

A mixture of Calacatta and Statuary stone. The three shower walls are a custom mosaic fan pattern using 1/4 inch mosaic stone.

The entire bathroom was finished with Heath tile seconds. The random pattern with change of color and sizes continue around the room and complete the tub surround as well.

The backsplash was finished with a blend of different colors and sizes and following a random pattern.

The floor is Statuary stone 18x18 on diagonal within the glass mosaic strip to create a visual rug design. The outside of the rug is finished with the same stone on standard grid.

The shower tile is a ceramic 6x6 earth tone following a broken joint pattern. The floor is Calacatta Oro with a glass mosaic detail running through.

The handmade tile was arranged to allow the center line above the fire box with the best layout in mind. It was designed and finished to seem as though it was the original fireplace.

This ten foot diameter art piece was derived from the ancient asian mosaics. It consists of Spanish tile cut in half to form a leaf shaped pod. The pods were then filled with mortar and the stone pebbles were intricately set within the spaces with incredible meticulousness. All pods were set within the diameter following the original design. The spaces in between the pods received slate slivers that change direction between all the pods.

This property received roughly 6,000 square feet of this antiqued limestone from Europe. The floors allowed for the 2 inch finish thickness and the mortar under the stone was a wet set installation. Most stone pieces were kept in their original shapes and sizes, but the rest needed to be cut and shaped to fit into the desired spaces to allow for the ideal layout.

This fountain was a collaborative design developed by a team of artists and designers. From it's inception every small detail was combed through to achieve absolute success and true lasting beauty. All surfaces needed to be floated to the exact dimension to accommodate the tile layout. All tile setting and mosaic installation were discussed daily to achieve the desired look. Only 15 percent of the fountain was done from an original mold. The rest of the tile is all custom sized and shaped.
